The short version
Without an account we store nothing about you. With an account we store your email address, whether you paid, and your practice progress. We do not sell or share personal data, and the site carries no third-party advertising.
Who is responsible
Avlas Digital, Park House, The Square, Claremorris, Co. Mayo, F12 HE97, Ireland, is the data controller. Contact: hello@nurseaptitude.ie.
Using the site without an account
Your answers, scores and mock exam history are saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device. They never leave your device. Clearing browser data, or the Reset button on the Progress page, deletes them.
With an account
To log in we send a one-time link to your email address. We store the address, the time you last logged in, and a session cookie so you stay logged in. The cookie is strictly necessary and needs no consent banner. Once you have an account we also keep a copy of your practice progress on our servers so it follows you between devices. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
We keep account data while your access is active and for 6 years afterwards because Irish tax law requires us to keep sales records. Email hello@nurseaptitude.ie to delete your account earlier; we delete everything except the invoice record.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, Dublin. We never see your card number. Stripe sends us your email, the amount and a payment reference, which we store to grant access and for our accounts. Stripe’s privacy policy is at stripe.com/ie/privacy.
Seats from an agency or employer
If an agency or employer gives you access, it entered your name and email, or you entered them with its code. The agency can see them, your access dates and, unless you switch it off on your account page, a summary of your practice: how many questions you answered, your accuracy, your mock exam results and the topics you score lowest in. It never sees your individual answers. The legal basis is the contract between us and the agency that sponsors your access; the practice summary is shared on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw with one click.
Pass guarantee photos
If you claim the pass guarantee you send us a photo or screenshot of your RCSI result. We use it only to confirm the claim and delete it within 30 days.
Emails
We send login links, receipts and replies to your questions. No newsletters and no marketing unless you ask for them. If you enter your email to receive the sample questions PDF, we store the address, the date, the page you were on and your country, and send four short emails over the following twelve days (the PDF, a note on the OSCE paperwork, the next test dates and the price, and a one-use discount code). Every one has a one-click stop link; after the fourth we write to you only if you reply. Legal basis: your request. Email goes out through Amazon Web Services (Ireland region), which sees the address and the message.
Analytics and hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses to serve pages and block abuse. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. We also use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and features get used. It runs without cookies and without identifying you: no cookie notice, nothing stored in your browser, and visits are not linked together. We advertise on Google Search and use the same tag to count purchases that follow an ad click, also without cookies. If you arrive from one of our ads, we keep the click reference in your browser for that tab only, so a purchase can be matched to the ad; it is discarded after the purchase or when you close the tab.
Usage analytics
We use PostHog (EU servers) to see how the site is used: which buttons get clicked, how far pages are scrolled, where something breaks, and replays of visits with every typed character hidden. It stores nothing on your device, so two visits are not linked together.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion at hello@nurseaptitude.ie. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
