The site is an independent study aid for the RCSI Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery Overseas Aptitude Test (General Nurse). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to RCSI, the NMBI or the HSE.
Not the real questions
RCSI does not publish its question bank. Our questions are our own, written from the public documents on the RCSI reading list and the NMBI Standards and Requirements for Nurse Registration Education Programmes, and each one names the document it is based on. Clinical guidance changes: always check the current version of a document before you rely on it in practice. Passing our mocks does not guarantee passing the real test.
Free and paid access
Without paying you can use the demo: the topics marked free in full, a fixed sample of every other topic, one short mock exam, all guides, and in the OSCE section the first two cases of every paperwork trainer, two station rehearsals and two teaching topics in full, and the descriptor, common mistakes and sources of every other station and topic.
The pass costs €59, paid once, and lasts 6 months from the day of payment. It covers every theory topic, unlimited full and short mock exams, the OSCE station rehearsals, paperwork trainers and teaching talks, and your progress saved to your account. It is not a subscription: nothing renews and we never charge your card again.
The pass is personal. One account, one learner. Sharing a login or copying the question bank for redistribution or resale is not permitted and ends your access without refund.
Pass guarantee
If you sit the real RCSI theory test during your access period and fail it, email us a photo or screenshot of the result and we extend your access by another 6 months at no charge. There is no limit on how many times you can claim, as long as each claim is for a sitting that took place while your access was active.
Reporting mistakes
Every question, case and station has a report link. We check each report within 48 hours. If you found a real error (a wrong answer or score, an out-of-date document, a broken source link), we fix it and add 30 days to your pass. One extension per error: when several people report the same thing, the first report counts. Wording preferences and questions we already have on our list do not qualify.
Agency and employer seats
Recruitment agencies and employers can buy seats in packs from the agencies page. A seat gives one nurse 6 months of full access from the day the agency assigns it, by email or by an access code. Unused seats and unused codes do not expire; a cancelled code returns its seat. Agencies may pass seats to their candidates free of charge or as part of their own paid package; what they charge is their business, but the access itself is personal to the nurse who receives it and cannot be transferred once assigned. Packs are refundable within 14 days if no seat has been used. The agency sees each nurse’s name, email and access dates; the nurse can hide her practice summary from her account page at any time. The pass guarantee applies to each seat and is claimed by the agency from its panel with the nurse’s result sheet. Trial seats are given at our discretion to verified agencies, work exactly like paid seats, and can be withdrawn if the account is not what it claimed to be.
Refunds and your right to cancel
Access starts as soon as your payment goes through. By ticking the box at checkout you ask for that and agree that you give up the 14-day right to cancel that the Consumer Rights Act 2022 gives for online purchases of digital content. In its place, you can refund the pass yourself from your account page within 14 days of payment if you have answered fewer than 100 questions, checked fewer than 20 OSCE exercises and sat no full mock since paying. Your account
You log in with a link sent to your email address, so keep that address working. We may close accounts used to scrape or share content. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Accuracy
We check every question against the public document it names (HSE, HPSC, NMBI, NICE and the other sources on the RCSI reading list), but guidance changes and RCSI can change its test. RCSI’s own pages and the current editions of those documents are the only authoritative sources. If you spot an error, use the “Report this question” link under any answer or email hello@nurseaptitude.ie, and we will fix it.
Use of content
You may use the site for your own study. The questions, explanations and guides are ours; copying them for redistribution is not permitted.
Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by Irish law, Avlas Digital is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, including test fees or lost income. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. If we cannot settle a dispute directly, you can take it to the Irish courts; consumer claims up to €2,000 can go through the Small Claims procedure, and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) can advise you on your rights.
